Is this a manip? The foreground looks like you used wide angle, and the background looks like a telephoto lens shot it....
Anyway, it looks great, but then it needs to be put in to a different category.

It's that or he can set his camera to really high DOF. I know I can do that to my camera, to some extent, but I don't get something quite like this.

No, I'm sure that is not the case. Take a look. The people were shot with a very wide angle, around 20mm, you can see that because of the perspective distorition. And the background has so much "out of focusness", that would come from a lens like at least a 200mm. The two never comes together. Just show me a shot like this and I will believe you

Hm, yeah. If the distortion on the focus was like, half of what it is right now, I'd believe that maybe that's actually in the picture, but it's a little too much. I'm gonna guess that you're a photographer, and you probably know more than me, so I'll keep my mouth shut, lol.

But yes, I'm a photographer and cameramen for a long time, and my eyes pick these very easily. Though I know there are always stuff I still don't know...
